Holiday Inn City Centre

This was my first time visiting Qingdao, and I spent a lot of time choosing the right hotel. I finally decided on this place because it is very close to the shopping mall and May Fourth Square, and the location turned out to be perfect. Since I love taking half-body baths, I always make sure to book a room with a bathtub. I carefully checked the photos online and chose a Deluxe Room instead of a Superior Room. However, upon check-in, I was assigned a Superior Room that did not have a bathtub. As soon as I noticed the bathroom, I called the front desk to explain the situation. Manager Susie handled it so quickly and upgraded me to the junior suite room, resolving everything smoothly. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to her once again. I also want to thank Sherry and Betty for their incredibly kind and friendly service throughout my stay. If I ever visit Qingdao again, I will definitely stay here. Thank you for making my trip wonderful!

The hotel is clean, well maintained, and offers good value for money. The mattress, however, was on the firmer side, and the air conditioning remained quite warm despite setting the room temperature to 20 degrees. Breakfast was enjoyable overall, though there was an occasion when tea bags had run out. A particular highlight of our stay was the excellent service provided by Mr Sher Look at the concierge desk. He was extremely helpful in assisting with our luggage and arranging a Didi to Qingdao West Railway Station on a rainy day, which can be quite challenging. In our opinion, Mr Sher Look also spoke the best English at the hotel and consistently provided attentive, above-and-beyond service.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. It is not what it appears to be on the internet. The photos online are misleading and clearly taken to make the place look much better than it actually is. The hotel is extremely small, including the reception area, which was cramped and unwelcoming. The overall cleanliness was poor – definitely not up to the standard you’d expect. There was limited access to any kind of service or support. We were so unhappy with the condition of the place that we checked in and out on the same day. I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you’re expecting comfort, cleanliness, or decent service
