Weihai International Business Building

The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Weihai Liugong Island Pier. I had a room on a high floor at the end of the building with exceptional view of the mountains, the city, coastline and sea. Floor to Ceiling Windows which was nice. Good & comfortable furniture in the room, including a great desk. TV was easy to use, with at least one English speaking channel - CGTN. However the bed was hard, and you could feel the springs in the mattress. The bathroom after use had a smell coming mainly from the drains. Not the best smell. Receptionist staff were OK, but not really friendly or welcoming. Even If you cant speak English, a nice smile would be great. I had a feeling that did not really want international guests staying at this hotel. Sorry just my impression. Still I would recommend this hotel. The room rate was great value and the views amazing. Note: On trip.com this hotel the English name is "International Commercial Affairs Building Weihai: NOT the Weihai International Trust Hotel on tripadvisor. The address is the same 106 Harbin North Road.

Stayed here 3 times when I was in Weihai, the location is excellent. The ocean view room is perfect, prices are very reasonable, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Meet the requirement of 4 star hotel in China.

We stayed here for one night on July 24, 2006 as part of a 2 week China tour trip so we had no choice in this hotel selection. The hotel was runned down and awful. There were mold and mildew in the bathroom. Also, because of the location atop a steep hill but once you arrived to the top, the hotel was down this steep driveway. The coach bus dropped us off at the entrance and we had to carry our own luggage to and from the bus. There were no bellhops to assist us. The morning breakfast offered chinese hot and cold menu items but they were far from delicious. It was a nightmare and we could not wait to go home!
