New Century Puxi

Crew english was not good. Rooms are very small. Location is not bad. Drink bar in the rooms are too limited and also not cold.i hope they improve their quality. But crews are very kind and pleasant...

In July 2017, I spent the better part of 2 weeks in the New Century Hotel on business. I found the staff to be courteous and the service delivery to be precise and punctual. In fact, in some instances it far exceeded that of what I'm used to in the Western World as the laundry was secured in plastic wrapping. That was amazing. All said, the location was quite close to the Metro/Subway and also in close proximity to the Joy City Mall, which carries a multitude of great brands. The food and amenities in general were also of a very good standard and I would recommend this hotel to anyone spending time in Shanghai for business. Lastly, I had a room on the 26th floor which gave a fantastic view of the Shanghai skyline and its accompanying lights!

Location was very good, very close to the city centre. The subway was less than 10 min stroll from the hotel and 3 stops from the city. We found the breakfast to be very good (Chinese breakfast) with lots of choices and relatively good coffee. The hotel was hard to find, tucked away amongst some old residential apartments. There were no large signs of the name of the hotel at street level. Renovations of the area required access through rubbles. However, the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly but I am not sure if they can communicate in English. The hotel restaurant was surprisingly reasonable priced and good. The servings were large. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel.
