Greentree Inn Shanghai Changfeng Park Shell Hotel

had reached very late in the hotel at night.being a pure vegeterian there were no choices of food in the hotel's restaurent.went down for a stroll but couldn't find a vegeterian dish,had to settle down with sugarcane juice which i found in a large fruit & vegetable store adjacent to the green tree inn.rooms are small but it is ok to stay there for one night.breakfast has not enough choices for a vegeterian like me.

My family of 5 had booked this hotel with booking.com as it seemed conveniently located to Hongqaio Airport for our early morning flight. We were arriving late (9pm) and had emailed earlier to advise them of this fact. Upon getting there by 2 train lines, then a taxi (which was hard to get from the railway station) we were told that the room had been given to someone else because we were late. We were furious as we'd been on the move all day and my mother and daughter were very tired. As was mentioned in the review below, we got an emotionless sorry there is no room reply! We had to suggest that they find us alternate accommodation and pay for a transfer. This was not forthcoming in a hurry. The young staffers kept on looking at their computer and when we asked to see the manager, just handed us the phone to dial ourselves. After ranting about how tired we were and in need of sleep before our 6.30am departure from the hotel they finally went out on the street to find us a taxi. No smiles, no emotion, extremely poor customer service. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT T INVITE TROUBLE - be warned!!!!

It was a moderate experience with this no frills hotel with a non a/c lobby, youngsters manning the reception, reservations, just following the rue book with a cold smile. Do not ask for favors you will be refused with a curt voice but with a low on emotions smile. No breakfast no room service. The rooms are adequate but pl. ensure you ask for the first floor or above. They gave my colleagues a basement where the rooms have the walls made of gypsum and the voices of people talking from the adjacent rooms can be heard. Though a Business Hotel as listed but basics like WiFi is not there in the rooms. Inside the rooms they are clean and adequately loaded with furniture. Good location, but better eat somewhere down town as no eating joints near by.
