Huating Hotel Towers

I’m pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Was told it was renovated very recently. The room is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. The only downside is that the bathroom feels rather cramped, especially when stepping out of the shower. Breakfast was sumptuous with a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very accommodating throughout our stay. If you are visiting this area, choosing this hotel will definitely not disappoint.

I stayed at this hotel just four days after its reopening for six nights. Located near Xujiahui and right next to Metro Line 1 (Exit 7), it is perfectly positioned. My Superior King room was surprisingly spacious for the price in the CBD. However, there was an issue with the air conditioning which had a temperature adjustment problem. After reporting it, the manager swiftly upgraded me to a Superior Deluxe Theme King Room with a unique spinning bicycle. The new room offered breathtaking city views. While the fresh towels shed lint a lot, they are clearly new cotton towels. Breakfast is à la carte. The swimming pool is a bit smaller compared to newer hotels. Rooms have umbrellas and safes, but no irons. Plenty of bottled water is provided. It is not flawless, but for ¥700+ a night with breakfast and pool access, it is an excellent value.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, The first room was clean and everything worked well, apart from the plug in the bath, which wouldn't open to let the water drain, so I switched rooms. The staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. Especially the concierge, who told me what subway stations I needed to get off, at the various places I wanted to visit. Its also very convenient for the Subway as, its right opposite the entrance, one minute walk. The only negative aspect is Chinese families like to let their children use the corridors where the rooms are as play areas, the staff should control this and stop them from doing that, as it disrupts other guests piece and quiet and wakes them up, a suggestion would be to have an inner door in the room, to block out the noise.
