JI Hotel Shanghai Caohejing

The place is in walk distance to metro line 12. It’s a bit far from downtown but close to Caohejing hi-tech Park. The hotel itself is pretty new and clean. Staffers were friendly and attentive. I haven’t seen many restaurants nearby but you can get food delivery easily as long as you have a China mobile (or ask for help from the front desk). I enjoyed my stay here.

This hotel is now run by Ji Hotel. In comparison to other Chinese hotels, this hotel is good. I would say this hotel is 3 star hotel in Western standards. The rooms are clean and noise level is quiet BUT not all bathrooms are equal. Some are nicer and some are worn down and tiles are cracked up. For some reason, the halls are always dark and smells like cigarettes!!! If your room smells like cigarettes, you can ask them to switch.The reception and workers don't speak any English so do your best to speak Chinese. LOCATION: It is convenient next to the Caohejing Hi-Tech Park station, so you can head to downtown in 20 minutes, Xujiahui in 10 minues and even Qibao (ancient water town) in 10 minutes. TIP: Each stay comes with a free breakfast downstairs before 10am. Ask for the receptionist for breakfast ticket and head over. I enjoyed the breakfast a lot! It's mainly Chinese food like congee, noodles and stir fry veggies.

Very helpful staff. Near to Metro. Choice of food is limited but breakfast spread is good. Rooms are comfortable and value for money. Provided early Check-in and late Check-out facility. Massage parlour is good.
