Miramar Apartment

A friend recommended this apartment hotel, it is around 120 sq metres, with 2 bedrooms sleeping 3 persons and 2 bathrooms and 2 satellite TVs, good wifi, and a kitchen with full cooking equipment . Heating worked well from A/C units and plenty of hot water . (it was winter when we visited) We were short of cutlery and just asked reception , it was delivered promptly The hotel is owned and managed by Miramar Group, Hong Kong who have managed the Hong Kong Miramar hotel for many years. There is a massive Carrefour hypermarket just 5 minutes walk and in the same mall, lots of reasonably priced restaurnants and a food court ( chinese,japanese,korean, McDonalds, Wagas) Some dishes quite heavy on the MSG. We paid RMB 650- per night double, on hotel booking sites it is much more than this, so try emailing the hotel direct : reservations@miramarapt.com Tel 86 21 6270 6921 .Excellent value.

The rooms are quite big there is a fully equipped kitchen. Service is very bad, staff unaccommodating, i have stayed at better hotels.

Overall a really great place to stay. We had a big 3-bedroom apartment on the 9th floor. Big living room, a dining room, a full kitchen, 3 washrooms with 2 baths. Washer and dryer (no detergent). Room cleaning everyday. Quiet double pane glass windows and doors The lobby gets busy at times because there is usually only one person running the booking counter. The overall decor was slightly dated, the TV was an old-school cathode ray tube, and the beds were quite hard. No big deal. It was a tremendous value for money. It came out to be $100/night, split three ways that was about $33/person for the three of us. After lots of researching online, we could not find a better deal than this. It is great for families and groups of friends. The location was decent too. Nearby was a Carrefour (a French Walmart) and a McDonalds. Highly recommend the Bellagio Cafe around the corner. Good and clean Chinese food that is a bit more expensive for local standards but still cheaper than North American standards. $4.50USD for a bowl of yummy noodles?
