Motel 168 Jin Chuan Road Inn

It was a great stay at the Home In in Shanghai. Most of the staff speaks English, the room was very nice and clean. Soft bed and a good international (Chinese and Western) breakfast. Very good address for a Stop-Over.

I have been here one night with my family to get an early flight from Pudong The area is under construction and a bit noisy and dusty, the district all around is definitely not touristic The staff is very friendly and service is very good, but few speak English Rooms are spartan but provided of all accessories and well working

This is now called Home Inn Plus, not Motel 168 (not sure which one bought out the other). 20 minutes from PVG. Hotel offers bus service at 40RMB one way if you are not a Gold Card member. Not bad for overnight transit. The hotel is 9 month old. Very modern and clean. I stayed on the sixth floor, the room is good size. Breakfast is simple but tastes good. On the first floor, there is a small lounge for a couple of coffee or tea (free) with jazz music. Overall, the place is quieter than most budget hotels in China. Wifi signal in room is strong. Staff very helpful and friendly. I am very pleased with the stay. There is a plaza across the street where there many restaurants. Subway station is 5 minutes walk which can take you to town, or 4 stops back to the airport. This would be an option if you don't have large luggage.
