Sheraton Shanghai Pudong Hotel & Residences

Among the Marriott hotels I regularly stay at, this is one of the best when it comes to recognizing and taking care of elite members. Whether I stay for one night or several nights, I have consistently received a suite upgrade. This level of recognition is rare and truly appreciated. The Executive Lounge Happy Hour is also, in my experience, one of the most generous and varied among the nearby Hilton, InterContinental and Marriott properties, with consistently good quality. I was particularly pleased to see hot steamed white rice recently added to the selection—an everyday staple that many other international hotel brands do not provide. What I admire most is that the hotel’s philosophy of genuinely recognizing and caring for elite members has remained consistent for decades. This deserves real praise. Whenever I stay in Shanghai, this hotel is my first choice. I have always felt genuinely welcomed and at home here. I would also like to mention the Executive Lounge chef, the Concierge team, the front desk team at Feast, and the chef at the noodle station during breakfast at Feast. Their professionalism, warmth and personal service have made particularly lasting impressions on me. A truly excellent Marriott property for elite members.

We stayed here in May 2026, attending a conference. The hotel seems to have two main buildings and my room was in a poor one. The room had a wet carpet in places for some reason, a tiny window making it feel like a cell, a musty smell and then the power went out in my room only. No idea why. Food at lunch was ok but the breakfast offering wasn't extensive and felt like being in a school canteen. The location is a 20 minute taxi ride to the Bund. I wouldn't choose to return to this hotel. I think there is better value elsewhere.

Since more than 1 year i come in this hotel almost every month, and the journey is always comfortable. Near to subway and next to city center. Room are wide and bed very comfortable. But especially the staff is always very helpful. Especially the manager Evan, who she always help to let you be more comfortable as possible, and the chef of the lounge, very nice person who cooke delicious food. Highly recommend
