We came from Taiwan to stay in the Sun Island Villa area. Overall, we lived very comfortable. The guests were treated with care and service staff from the gate guard to the carmaster's reception, the housing manager of all kind and warm care, and the guests were satisfied with the thanks. The main park is very clean air is also super fresh, is a good place to let go and relax, sincerely recommend

-Heard from different friends with children about this place and we decided to try it. -Check in: nice, smooth, not much waiting. -Room: we got room 4608 . Large space, nice bath, felt a lil bit dated. Will try next time the themed rooms, like galaxy or other child friendly , more modern options -Good/very good: breakfast buffet. The minifarm was fun for the children. the indoor playpark in the lobby resort 2f is superb. children absolutely love it, very spacious. -So so: lunch/dinner food, both in the Chinese (the a la carte)and specially the Western option, where the pizza was super greasy. -not ok: the speed at which many, not all, of the employee drivers cruise around the resort in the mini buses. Sometimes, most of the times, the speed at which they drove was well over 40km/h whereas the limit is 20. we did not like it and we believe they should all be retrained. what's the rush when driving in such a family holiday resort?! Highlight: Mr. Leon Zhou, from the concierge/check in team who spoke English. Helped us with internal transport arranging, clarified any questions, etc. Super nice!

Had booked this place sight unseen, I think 3/4 of the photos on the Trip Advisor site should be deleted, the place is grossly run down....the kitchen has hardly anything in it....plates and cups and one saucepan....no bowls for cereal....no toaster and its a long way from town. We came to stay here to see the Zhujaijaio Water town which was fabulous and we spent a couple of days there exploring the town. We only stayed four nights out of our seven night stay and took the bus and train back into Shanghai....glad to get out of there! The golf course is closed....has been for some time...just a driving range, they advertise swimming pools, beach and play area....all closed. They said the pool was under maintenance but there was no work going on and it was just empty and closed up but it did look in pretty good shape. The beach and play area was totally overgrown and hadn't been in use I reckon for years. There is a very ancient pagoda on the island which we walked down to see....needs lots of love and attention. The main gate is one and half kilometres from the unit....we did request a bus a couple of times but it wasn't too far to walk either...the restaurants just to the right of the main gate in the little village were quite good and we ate there a couple of times. They are just near the local bus stop...also caught the local bus into town a few times which is only 1RMB. The only positive thing is that the staff at the resort were quite friendly and helpful. We were offered a lift into a supermarket to buy a few things which we did for breakfast things etc bought some New Zealand butter there (the only butter they had and it was an exorbitant $6US for a small bar) and when we went to open it, it smelt to high heaven....rancid! So would not suggest buying anything there. OK to get things like beer and soft drink. We did not eat at the resort as there didn't seem to be anything too special on the menu and it was very expensive. You could not freely walk around the island.....gates were wired up everywhere...we had planned to do a walk around the whole island...not possible! Two days into our holiday they started renovations on a unit directly opposite us....the resort was very, very empty....you would think they would have put us right away from any renovations. We did this week on timeshare so by the time you pay exchange fee and your weekly maintenance very expensive plus to stay.....so not worth the money! Stayed in so much nicer hotels in Shanghai for half the price. This would have to be the worst timeshare experience we have had and have stayed in them all over the world.
