Courtyard Shanghai Jiading

We stayed at this property as part of our TripADeal holiday package—very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. A short walk (10min) to a street with great restaurants. Buffet breakfast has a good selection of Western and Asian. Can highly recommend this property. Probably one of the best out of our 5 properties we stayed at. The only drawback is that it's approximately an hour's drive to central Shanghai

There as part of a package tour for 2 nights, would say it is ok. The room is comfortable, reasonable size with a small fridge - 2 complimentary waters daily. Soap & hair items dispensed in bathroom which has a shower over the bar (bit of a step up). Our deal included breakfast & it was a bit disappointing - only 1 slow coffee machine, a toaster than seemed very slow, lots of dishes empty requiring replenishing eg on first day in peak time, there were no friend eggs & the omelette/egg station wasn't manned. Large open foyer that has a bar open for limited hours. A few shops/restaurants around - we ate at E-Thai which was nice, apparently there was a Spanish one close by as well as local Chinese. At least one of our group asked for a room exchange as it smelled of cigarette smoke.

It's away from the center of Shanghai, but I came here for a business trip, so it's a short taxi ride away and convenient to eat and shop around. The room was large and beautiful, and the front desk was kind. Many of them have coffee machines in their rooms these days, but they didn't.
