I arrived late at night on the subway, at the Jing An Temple station--a direct ride from either airport. It's easy to find the hotel as the streets are clearly marked. The hotel is on a narrow street with moderate traffic, and the only noise I heard was from a bar on the street level--it was not objectionable. Although it's an older building, it's very well-kept. My apartment included a spacious living room and bedroom, a nice bathroom, and a small kitchen. You'll find complimentary snacks and bottled water in your room, and they are replenished daily. You can also leave your dirty laundry out and the housekeepers will run it through the washing machine and hang it to dry for you. The location is excellent. Very close to the subway, and there's plenty to see in the immediate area. The management people are kind and helpful and speak English.

Gave this 5 stars for location alone, it was so convenient for us! Very close to the Huashan Lu metro station exit of Jing 'An temple Station (Jin 'An Si). As vegans we were wrapt to book one block away from Jen Dow (the restaurant of Jing 'An Si) on the corner of Huashan Lu and Yuyuan Lu (diagonally opposite the art deco Paramount Theatre). There is a Family Mart downstairs from LaDoll which was great to grab water/juice etc). They supplied two bottles of water a day which is handy in China. The staff were nice and hung out our washing that we left it in the machine, we came back to do it and it was done! :) They also held our two cases for a few hours after check out at no charge which was very helpful. The decor is a bit outdated and has some odd quirks (the plastic hello kitty soap dispenser was a bit weird) but the size of the room and the location is great. A little noisy but nothing out of the ordinary. I would book again or recommend for families or couples.

The location could not be better. It is central with many shops, restaurants, malls and subway stops. We got freshly baked croissants and western style breakfast every morning. Good Chinese food everywhere. The Building has spacious apartments with a bedroom, living room, small kitchen and a bathroom, daily cleaning service included. Optional is a very reasonably priced breakfast. It was not a luxury hotel style, more like someone's home including small things that could work better. Overall, you get a lot for your money.
