International Service Apartments Shanghai

The so called hotel is so disgusting that We immediately checkout even room is paid. The room is dirty with bad smell, toilet with stain and tap is broken.....if you prefer a budget accommodation in good location, you may have a try and definitely you MUST REGRET!

We thought it is a "international apartment", but until you check in the room. The room is badly maintained and dirty, found couple of cockroaches in and out... the host lady first gave us a room with broken window and can't be closed properly, in winter, we were frozen cold. Four peoples room only provided 3 pillows? Washing machine is broken too, only turns one way, of course,the air condition did not work either. Hardly imagine the apartment in Shanghai like this, very disappointed! Our short stay in there is proved a bad choice.

This is not a hotel but a short term stay apartment. If you read other reviews, you will find that experiences vary very widely from bad to good. Some of the photographs put up by people who stayed there were quite certainly true except that the room which I stayed in was rather horrific. The TV didn't work, sofa is stained and dirty. In the bathroom there were two big bottles of what appeared to be containing shampoo and body wash which looked dated. There was no bottled water in the room. No telephone to contact room 921 which is a room by itself cum 'reception'. Pantry is dirty. The room is dated. Next to my room is a "saloon". I arrived late in the evening to be greeted by a gloomy and dark lobby. If you first enter the building, you will see a lobby at level 2 - that is NOT the lobby for Sijia; ask the security to allow you to enter the lift lobby to get to level 9 for room 921. The bed linen is fortunately clean. I was lucky that by the time I gave up trying to figure out everything in the room which didn't work, it was already past 10.30pm and I was exhausted hence I was able to sleep. I woke up early about 7 hours later and left right away to go to the 24 hours convenience store to get something to eat. My room was miserable, very depressing. Somehow other rooms as per photographs posted by others weren't. I only washed my hands and face, couldn't even bring myself to have a shower; fortunately, I was only staying for a night and Shanghai's temperature then was 0 or -1 degrees Celsius so I could make do without shower that night. The plus points were; I got the room cheap (but about the same price as the trusty Ibis Hotel). It was near my meeting venue in the morning hence the choice. Wifi speed is decent after I managed to rummage through a mess of wires and gadgets to plug in the wireless router. So it is a matter of requirement; it is not a hotel but an apartment and I gotten a lousy room. The environment isn't too assuring and those who are travelling alone may not like it. As a frequent male traveler, I didn't like it but it served my need for that just one night. At least my room isn't haunted too.
