La Redin Shanghai

This hotel is located in a quite neighborhood with convenient stores/restaurants across the street. There is also a train-ticket issuing office within 2-min walk, gets you to all major cities using the famous CRH High Speed Trains. A Line 10 subway station is about 2 min walk from the other direction but beware the odd opening hours from 7AM-4PM during the Expo period.

This hotel is not well known but it is a great alternative to the big name Hotels in Shanghai. I was fortunate in being advised about it by a friend. The hotel is convenient...20RMB to Nanjing Road. It is cheap by Shangai hotel standards and really good value. The rooms are excellent...all are 2 roomed...a big spacious lounge with balcony...and a seperate bid bedroom..and off side BIG bathroom. All modern and very clean and very very comfortable. The restaurant is ok for breakfast but not for dinner...it is mainly for the business persom wanting quick hearty breakfast. Great place..but the rooms are actually one of the finest I have experienced !
