Regalia Changning Hotel Shanghai

We enjoyed an excellent 3-night stay here. Our apartment was wonderfully spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Our 3rd child slept on the couch and the hotel provided bedding (once requested). A bigger child would have needed the additional rollaway bed, which would have easily fitted into the apartment. Location is excellent, given Weining Road metro is immediately below (take exit 1 and turn left then left for easy access to hotel reception). Head to the river for a lovely riverside walk & local parks too.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel due to the convenient location. Room is very spacious, however the maid service needs a lot of improvement. Those ladies barely do much, they wiped floors but nevver vaccumed the carpet in bedrooms. there were trashes left on the bathroom floor by previous stay, it didn't get picked up until a week later. there were stains on the kitchen counter, it didn't get wiped down during our entire two weeks stay. They did add laundry room on the 18th floor which was an improvement from three years ago. however, they don't have separte washer and dryer, so it literally take at least 3 and half an hour to do one load of laundry. there is a washer/dryer combo in each suite, but it is old and has very small capacity. Front desk staff are very friendly. Breakfast was very boring, it was the same food every morning with minimum varieties. TV only has chinese stations, no english program at all.

The rooms, breakfast, amenities all very poor. The staff at the service desk was very friendly, helpful and spoke English. Location is outstanding, metro just around the corner, shopping center with restaurants on the other side of the street.
