Renhe Hotel Shanghai

They claim that staff speak English - they don't!! The rooms are pretty dirty only light surface clean! Mould up the wall & bathroom felt dirty. My fridge didn't work & complained several times, they did nothing. I have injections requiring correct temperature & even explained using google translate - they still did nothing. Breakfast was poor & hotel in residential area no where near a train station or pudong/Shanghai. Taxis continually getting lost due to the construction work outside. Wouldn't stay again but not the worst hotel!!

We made a reservation for a normal room (with small bed) through hotelclub but was offered a bigger room with lake view and bigger bed or a family suite (with a large bed and a single bed with side view of the lake). The bell boy brought us to all 3 rooms before we made our selection. We settled for the room with lake view and large king-size bed as there was a lazy bed in the room, thus accommodating all of us (2 adults and 2 kids). The location of the hotel is perfect. Just across a small street to Xi Hu main square. There are many local and international chain restaurants and malls within walking distance to the hotel. As we arrived on a Saturday afternoon, there was a sea of people at the park. Room has computer with internet connection on a glass-top table and very comfy chair and table light. There is a flat screen LED TV on the wall. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise. It has a full-length see-through glass wall to the room with an adjustable blind. Shampoo and bath cream are available in large bottles as well as washing detergent. There is complimentary long jin tea leaves in the room and a water boiler for our convenience. Room is spacious enough to open 2 large luggages and for the kids to play around. The hotel staff was very friendly and responded immediate to our request for extra blanket. There is a very detailed map of Hang Zhou provided in the room.
