SHAHAI INTERNATIONAL

Overnight stay in Shanghai, with flight tomorrow to Guilin. Check in was smooth and friendly staff. Room was large and appointed well. Bed’s comfortable with decent comforter. Nothing fancy but acceptable. They should have explained how to activate lighting in the room and how to access WiFi. I figured it out on my own after a bit. There was a light smell in the room. Not sure what it was. Their restaurant was a big disappointment. To many things to mention, but go elsewhere. I would stay again based on the price. By the way, it’s a 30 minute drive to Pudong Airport.

Rooms are very clean and spacious. The only downside is that the rooms are decorated in dark colors and the windows are dusty outside so not much sunshine comes through. Fresh fruit and 2 bottles of (free) water were in my room when I arrived.

The hotel is very nice, but the money exchanger was Out Of Order. The manager will not talk to anyone, there are employees to do that for him. The rooms are very clean and nice, but describing the bed, it was like trying sleep on a pool table. I can't sleep on a solid surface. I turned all night until it was time to get up. We checked out right away.
