Shanghai Zhongxiang Hotel

I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel, the place is nice and rooms are good but very noisy maybe because of ongoing construction and railway station. The room I got had a problem in the bathroom but I hope they fixed otherwise it is a nice place with nice breakfast. Like most hotels in China, receptionist needs to learn simple English.

We stayed there for 3 days, upon arrival the room window was not closing, they came and fixed it. The staff at this place is really rude, front desk and restaurant staff is ok. The room was fine. The day we left, the cleaning lady was standing outside our room door at 9h30 am, she asked when we would checkout, we told her we will go eat at the restaurant and we would check out at 11h30. When we checked out the cleaning lady was standing outside the room again like a hawk. We opened the door and she rushed into the room, the very first thing she aimed for was to look for the pen case they leave in the rooms. She knew exactly what she was looking for. The pen case was there in the morning when we went to eat but vanished by the time we came back and checked out. They charged us 30 rmb for the ugly missing pen case, beware, those people are scammers, I looked at other reviews about this place and it show that they also make stories about damaged towels and make people pay for it.
