Ping Cheng Qiao Hotel - Datong

Jinjiang is a bit of a lifesaver in China. You can always get a cheap, spacious and clean room in almost every city. This one is fine. It costs around 200 yuan a night (189 if you book with elong.net) and is fairly well located. There are some shops and restaurants nearby and it is quite easy to find a taxi outside. The internet is a hard line, but good. My two main issues with it were the smelly bathroom (smelled like drains - not good) and the helpless staff. I have lived in China for a year and expect staff not to speak English, but here they weren't very helpful at all. A good option for a budget traveller, just don't expect too much.
