M Hotel Chengdu

Stay at M hotel is great, the staffs are helpful and remembers my requests. The room is spacious and clean. Shower is awesome, love the water pressure and temperature. The only downsides are Slow wifi and unmanageable aircon (temperature).

This hotel is not in the downtown area but the advantage of the location is that one is less likely to get caught in traffic jams when travelling by car or by bus. The nearest metro station is Gaoxin, which is about 10 minutes walk away. I stayed in a Premier room, which was spacious and clean. Although this was a non-smoking room, I could catch whiffs of stale cigarette smoke. Either the ventilation system is poor, or other guests did not respect the no-smoking rule. Breakfast is not as good as some of the others I experienced in other parts of China but it was passable. However the eggs were over-fried.

The staffs are really friendly, courteous and approachable. They have gone out of their way to help us book train tickets, taxis and provided travel information on places of interests, restaurants to visit and help find the location of the shops for the items that my wife needed.
