Xin Liang

This was nearer to a 3.5 rating - it is in a good location, it had been allowed to switch on the aircon (it had reached 30 degrees in the day). On a positive note they made the beds every day, new towels, new slippers, new free toothbrushes etc (but strangely left the dirty mugs and glasses each day - go figure). Room was slightly jaded but serviceable but had no full length mirror. Sadly the breakfast was the worst so far. We were even first there at 6.30am on one day and yet much of the food was already lukewarm/cold. There was however a decent choice of things for breakfast.

Excellent hotel with efficient and friendly staff. The rooms were a good size, clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good, with a wide range on offer. Recommended.

I have just stayed at this hotel at the end of a tour and found it to be well organised with helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is an older building and the downstairs area is spacious with character. The bedroom was cleaned efficiently and a very good size. The hotel is also very well located for shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. only criticisms I have are that there are a lot of floors at this hotel and the lifts seem to take ages to come, and this was made even worse by the fact that one was out of order while I was there. I also feel that the rooms are a little dated now and the fact that they are such a good size a refurb would make them amazing. I had breakfast at this hotel too and there seemed to be quite a lot of choice, but less choice if you prefer western style food for your breakfast.
