Shofo Boutique

Another name for this place is Lijiang Shishan House. We stayed 3 days here and loved it a lot. King Double BedRoom and Triple Family Room were very spacious, clean, well maintained. Hotel owners n staff very polite, helpful n welcoming. The view from the upper rooms was just magnificent, overlooking the Lijiang Old Town. Great location with almost everything within walking distance. You can enjoy a drink/snacks at the upper floor lobby, which has wonderful scenery. However the setbacks are that cars can't drive in through those cobbled-stones street. It's very taxing to hv to carry your luggages all the way n a little uphill to this hotel. It's such a task to hv to walk/climb those wooden stairs for rooms on upper floors. Night happenings are all nearby. Other than climbing those stairs, it was a great place to stay.

The hotel is along one of the main cobbled street leading to 4-square piazza, very near to the big water-mill, lots of shops along the road and very convenient to restaurants and bars. The hotel/rooms are away from the street, thus, it is relatively quiet. Facilities are OK, generally clean. Hotel personnel speak very little english though. Breakfast - mainly chinese food, you can have some toasts, but no butter. They prepare fried eggs or boiled eggs. They dont serve milk, instead they prepare soya bean milk. Internet is better in the front desk area although we dont hv much problem getting internet in the room. For those who wish to stay nearer to many happenings, this is the place!
