Yinhudao Hotel - Lijiang

We stayed a night at the Silver Lake Island Hotel during our tour to Luguhu (Lugu Lake) on 19 Apr 2017 (Wed). A five star hotel, spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel is overlooking the Lugu Lake and the view of the Lake is spectacular, especially the sun rise view against the moutains and the lake. One flaw with this hotel is that the toilet in the guest room is without door nor was there any curtain..no privacy and not so nice.....

我們入住的是面湖客房，房間，衛浴間都很寬敞乾淨，窗外的湖景是一項大加分，餐廳主要提供中式早餐，不特別美味但也不難吃,餐廳戶外坐外依著湖畔，讓用餐也是種享受。 We have a big room face to the lake, it's so beautiful. And the room with big and clean shower room and bathtub. Restaurant offer traditional Chinese breakfast if you're an foreign who would like to experience the Chinese eating culture and you just happen to come over here then you should try. The restaurant have outdoor seat make people feel just next to the beautiful lake. Really perfect.

This is a so called 5 star Chinese hotel. Considering this certification I only can give this hotel 2 points out of 5. 1 Point for the location, that is really excellent, 1 point because all hotels have something good. It was cold, noisy because of loudly screaming Chinese people, food was poor (no Western food at all), the wine they served was 8 years out of date, my colleague did not have warm water in the room. Etc..... Nothing positive? Yes, wifi was quite fast. But,if you want to visit Lake Lugu as a Western, this hotel today (2015) is still the best.
