BEWARE, this hotel is a scam and actually detained us. We checked in, the room type was wrong, single bed instead of Queen as indicated on the booking. As well, during the course of the stay, police came by and were randomly checking rooms as this hotel is regularly used as a brothel location. They would not let us leave until they checked all rooms. Stay far away from this hotel, unless you want to be scammed and detained.

I stayed here 3 nights in a superior double room. The bed was the size of a super king I think, heaps of room! The room was very spacious as well. The carpet was a bit stained, but apart from that, it was clean and tidy. The shower was great and the linen was replenished each day. The location is great, with a very short walk to the metro station. On the way, there is a “luckin coffee” (Chinese coffee chain) place tucked inside a building up some steps, and there are a few eateries around also. I utilised the local convenience store, but there is also one on the ground floor of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again if I was to visit Hangzhou. I would also recommend it to family and friends who don’t want to pay more than they need for a hotel room. It was good value for what I paid.

I am not sure according to which parameters this hotel got a 4-star rating. it is not up to that rating. the rooms are poorly furnished with very old style furniture and the carpets are bit damaged and stained. furthermore, the hotel cleanliness leaves much to be desired and it lacks upkeeping. we stayed one night but the next day, though we booked three night through an agency, we decided to move out.
