The Dragon Hotel

We stayed at The Dragon for four nights. And everything was surely satisfying from check-in to our departure. Check-in was speedy offered by friendly service desk staff. The room was spacious given it was a standard size. It was clean and comfy. We were all little hesitated in the beginning for checking-in to a "cigarette smell" guest room. But it has proven that our concerns were unnecessary. Guest room, corridors, concourse were spick and span. We truly love the Michelin star Chinese restaurant Grand Dragon. Every single dish was amazingly crafted. Service was attentive but not overly pretentious. The host at the Grand Dragon (sorry for not able to catch her name) was the highlight to be fair. Her hospitality skill was incomparable. From greeting, escorting us, seated us, assisting me for a room key replacement, offering to take pictures for us, and bid farewell. Food quality from room service was OK, to be frank. Rated 6.5/10. It was a wonderful stay at the Dragon Hotel. Will definitely be back again.

It's like a mini city!! What a fabulous hotel, recommended by friends, its was a total surprise to walk into the beautiful reception and check -in. The room was lovely and comfortable, although the see-through window into the bathroom was an amusing surprise. Every area was impeccably clean and well-maintained. I don't think we fully made the most of the facilities so would love to go back and check out some of the restaurants.

The Dragon Hotel is one of the large 5-star hotels in Hangzhou, a bit older, but also renovated several times, most recently in 2017/2018 I think. As a family, we had two large rooms with a connecting door, two large rooms with a double bed, each with a sofa/table, a desk and a large bathroom with a shower and bathtub. Everything was in top condition and really clean. A pleasant, fresh scent greets you in the spacious lobby. Very friendly staff, most of whom understand/speak a little English. In terms of sports, an indoor swimming pool and a well-equipped fitness center offer everything your heart desires. The breakfast buffet is more Asian with many Chinese specialties such as noodle soup, wontons, dumplings, etc. but also egg dishes, freshly cut fruit, not much bread, toast, salads, various fresh fruit juices, etc. We were there for Chinese New Year, there were also a lot of people who just came to eat and the restaurant was accordingly full. However, the buffet was always quickly refilled and there was nothing missing until the end
