Xinqiao Hotel Hangzhou

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so bad, I feel compelled to warn others. The service here is abysmal, and I would not recommend staying here under any circumstances. First off, there is no in-room toilet or water supply. You have to go to the front desk to "mention" to get these basic amenities. It felt like a downgrade to basic living standards, not what you expect from a paid hotel stay. Upon checking into my room, I immediately noticed cockroaches crawling around that came through the sink. I tried to be patient, assuming it was just an isolated issue, but when I raised my complaint to the staff, they did upgrade my room (albeit begrudgingly). However, the "upgrade" was only a temporary fix, as the very next night, I woke up with a spider crawling on my forehead! Absolutely disgusting. I brought the spider to the front desk as evidence and demanded a meeting with management. The senior manager, Ms. Tao, was dismissive and unapologetic, claiming that she had already "upgraded" my room, as if that should have somehow solved everything. The situation only got worse. The next day, I found mosquitoes and flies buzzing around my room. Again, I raised my concerns with the hotel staff. Their response? They tried to spray chemicals in my room, which only caused my throat to itch and made me cough uncontrollably. The so-called solution to their problem only made things worse. I’m honestly appalled by the lack of care or concern for guests’ well-being. This hotel is quick to take your money, but offers absolutely no quality in return. It’s filthy, unprofessional, and management is completely indifferent to any complaints or concerns. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable stay with basic services, stay far away from this hotel. It’s truly disappointing that such a place is allowed to operate. Save yourself the headache and choose a different hotel.

Great location with a great view of the famous lake and the city. Breakfast, included, was very good. The Terrace Bar has a great view of the lake and the city, too. Five minute walk to the lake. Short walk to a museum and a pagoda. Short walk to ancient city with a wall, gate, and streets with new shops in ancient buildings.

Best place to stay in Hangzhou. Walking distance to the West Lake (Xihu). Located very near to all the good places to eat and shopping malls and shopping streets. The hotel room is very spacious, clean and modern. The Hotel staff are very friendly and speak good English. Really just a wonderful place to stay in.
