Great place to stay. From the traveller photos I had seen, the place seemed kind of old.and dated. And to be honest, the lobby is pretty spartan and dated. That said, the room we got appears to have been renovated quite nicely. Modern amenities, nice nook looking outwards.
Locationwise, it could have been a little better. The entrance is off the side of a small driveway that took some explaining to the taxi drivers to identify. Most things were relatively close by. Lots of amenities (supermarkets/food) nearby, The internal hotel restaurant was kinda pricey (make sure you go over the bill carefully). Western food options are nearby as well. Stick to the main roads, would not recommend using the smaller neighbourhood roads as shortcuts to anything. Not enough lighting to feel safe.
Needed a few supplies (not your typical stuff, but business supplies) and the staff were more than accommodating. I would recommend stopping at a nearby supermarket (Turn right at the main road and go across the street) and picking up a jug of water. The hotel provides two small bottles a day,
NOTE: Housekeeping likes to open up the windows when you're not there which will definitely increase the noise quotient.
