Byland Star Hotel

The hotel is within a five-kilometre radius of Yiwu railway station and within walking distance (if you have no heavy luggage) from the nearest metro station. Many Indians prefer the hotel for its proximity to several Indian restaurants serving vegetarian, Jain, and classic Indian cuisine. Byland Star Hotel is a mid-range hotel (considering the location). Still, the ambience and decor of the reception are matched by a team of well-trained staff (Lulu and Judy), who will make you feel welcome and offer their cordial help without hesitation. We arrived at the hotel early and requested to leave our luggage with them until the check-in time. They gladly honoured our request and later called us to check in early, which is seldom the practice at other hotel chains. That gesture sets the hotel apart from similarly priced hotels in Yiwu. During our check-in time, we also witnessed Lulu and Judy assisting many guests with their inquiries and guiding them through various questions about the city, events, places, and travel opportunities around Yiwu, without any hesitation. The rooms are tidy and clean. The washrooms are well-appointed with essential amenities and gadgets for short travellers. Long-stay travellers can access the laundry and a gym (which I could not see because it was being used for another event). The room that we stayed in was closer to the road, which was noisy but within tolerable limits. At night , this becomes calmer and unnoticeable. The breakfast is generous, and one will be spoiled for choice. I noticed a section that opens a bit late, around 8:30 am, to cater an Indian dish, which shows their specific care for the majority of guests they receive. I have just one comment to make here. They need to have some control over the flies (fruit flies) that could be seen flying around some open dishes. This note should be considered as a constructive feedback rather than a negative rant about the hotel. If I go to Yiwu again, I will love to stay in this hotel again - for its proximity to things of interest in Yiwu and the cordial behaviour of the staff.

Byland Star Hotel is a nice hotel for international business man so stay, they offer best service than almost hotel is Yiwu. Especially, I want to say that Princess is a kindly lady and manager. When I finished my breakfast, she is waiting here to ask my experience and suggestion,that's make me fell this hotel will be better and better in a long time. Have been staying in Byland Star Hotel at cheng being lu Yiwu from many years now, one thing I have noticed that the quality and variety of Indian breakfast has been drastically going down. Indian food is usually cold which is not a good thing for a hotel where so many Indian nationals come to stay during their visit to china. The hotel needs to improve its services and update it's rooms keeping in mind the opening of few new and modern hotels in its vicinity which could sway away it's loyal customers.
