Hengdian Tinghao Hotel

The full name of the Hotel is Hengdian Tinghao Hotel. The hotel was clean and the building was new. Nobody at the check-in counter spoke English, so if you are not Chinese make sure you have a Chinese phrase book or Chinese to English converter app with you. My husband and i booked a double room but got just 1 room card, we asked for 2 but we were refused. The interior of the room was okay, clean. there was Air conditioner, there was no complementary bottled water and the tea available was loose tea( Chinese style), not tea-bagged. the bathroom was clean but the shower didn't get hot; just remained at a lukewarm temperature. The hotel provides Shampoo etc and the Towels were clean. Also there was free WIFI but qiet slow especially for China standard where even the tiniest shops will provide you with free WIFI. We stayed in this hotel in April so it won't too cold but but rained a lot on the 1st days and that kind of dampened the tourism because we came to tour Hengdian Wordl Studios( the biggest movie studio in Asia) .The location of the hotel is its main redeeming quality. it is on the main street in the town. opposite it, is a small supermarket where you can get bottled water, etc. on your right, left and all around are shops for food, boutiques, a cake shop and all round pleasant area to stroll around. if your plan is to go to any of the Hengdian movie world locations (10 of them), suggest you ask the hotel to make the arrangement for you. A car and driver will take you round all the places you want to go and you will pay same fees and you would have if you went by yourself (minus the waiting time plus the convenience and speed of having a car at your disposal. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and not fussy about the quality of sleep at the hotel as the overall service is just average.
