NEW CENTURY GRAND

This was my first time staying here. I have to say this was the worst 5 star hotel I've ever experienced (I have no idea how they can be rated 5 star). The room was crowded, carpet was dirty. But that's nothing compare to the terrible service I've got there. I tried to purchase a drink at the lobby bar at 1130pm and was told (very rudely) by two different staff that they were closed. After I pointed out their sign clearly states they open until 24:00 (midnight), one staff was visibly annoyed and sold me a bottle of white wine and had me pay for him directly to his personal Alipay account (odd). When I asked for a glass and ice bucket, I was told again rudely that I need to call room service for that. 15 minutes after I called room service, I was told they didn't have ice. So I paid for room temperature white wine then was lied to, couldn't drink it after all. Everyone I encountered was rude, not a single staff said hello to me or even acknowledged me until I've started to talk to them first. And even then they seem annoyed. Will never stay here again or ever recommend it to anyone. I have never had such terrible service at a so called 5 star hotel.

I have a very good impression for this hotel. It is clean, quiet and apparently well run. My room was specious enough with comfortable bed and bathroom inside. Nice Hotel at fair price, friendly/quiet atmosphere, centrally located, free internet is offered.Nice staff, taking care everything you need. Very good value/service solution. Highly recommended.

The room and service are good,along with food. location and view are really excellent. swimming pool is very decent and clean. break fast service in ground floor is good and there staff are very friendly and most off all know English.
