Ningbo World

Hotel Location and ambiance is good. But, had worst response from restaurant while breakfast. Other services are good. Location is very good and convenient for reach shopping places and restaurants. Its better to stay nearby area if going Ningbo for shopping/ Bar etc.

My business partner from Ningbo make booking for me in this hotel. This hotel have 4 star in real this is a three star hotel. If you book this hotel try to book without breakfast. For western food you can onyl choose bread and eggs. All another food is chinese. Im lucky because istay only one night in this hotel. Hotel is cheap for location because is in downtown near shopping center. If you are western try to not book ths hotel because staff on receptin speak very bad english.

I stayed here on business on the 5th April. The hotel seemed quite palacial when entering the premises. Check in was easy enough, 15th floor, room 22, the room appeared ok but was actually quite dirty and things like the paintwork had handprints and marks on it, the door looked as though it may have been forcedon previous occassions and didn't inspire confidence in terms of safety. Couldn't operate the shower and had to aks for someone to come and show me that one but the picture on the wall didn't make it look obvious. No wifi in the room but they do supply it if you ask. We ate in the hotel in the evening in their restaurant and the food was ok, some chinese food and meats were constantly brought out from the grill and carved in fornt of you and they were very tasty. Breakfast was served up until 9.30am which I thought was a joke, given that it was Sunday morning and I almost missed it and quite honestly, by the time I did get there, i may as well have missed it. It was absolutely awful as an offering......nothing much there at all, managed a bowl of muesli and 2 bits of toast once I had the toaster switched back on by a member of staff. Not very pleasing and definitely not the best start to the day after flying into Shanghai the day before. The beds were quite possibly the worst things I've ever experienced, it was like sleeping on a concrete floor and I woke up during the night with a dead leg.....definitely the worst beds I've experienced anywhere in the world in my 47 years...... One review I can see whilst writing this refers to chocolates being left on the bed after a turn down service.........perhaps thats a different level of service that that traveller had as there was nothing like that in evidence for myself or my host who booked it. Yes, a smoky smell everywhere is in evidence but it's made all the owrse by the fact that pretty much most of the rest of the world have adopted smoking bans in public places.
