Dear Management Team, I would like to share my experience regarding my recent stay at the Shangri-La Hotel Ningbo. First of all, I would like to mention that I have always appreciated the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts brand. I have had several long stays at your Shanghai property with my family, and those experiences set a high standard and expectation for me. Currently, I am staying in Room 3210 in Ningbo. I am satisfied with the cleanliness and condition of the room — everything is in order and well maintained. However, I must point out several service issues that do not align with the Shangri-La standard: Upon arrival, I could not find any porter outside the hotel. After I had already taken my luggage from my DiDi taxi and approached the reception, a staff member offered assistance, but it was too late at that point. At the reception, I realized that I had mistakenly made my reservation one day later. I was informed that the hotel was fully booked, yet I immediately made and paid for a reservation through your official application. Despite this, I received no further assistance and had to proceed to my room on my own. The breakfast experience was unfortunately very disappointing. The restaurant was overcrowded and disorganized. Food items were not replenished on time, the variety was limited, and the tables were not properly cleaned. Frankly, this level of service is far below what I expect from Shangri-La. Additionally, the service at the Horizon Club (28th floor) was noticeably inattentive and lacked the expected level of hospitality. In summary, while the room itself meets expectations, the overall service experience at the Ningbo property requires significant improvement. This feedback is shared with genuine disappointment, as I know the level of excellence Shangri-La is capable of delivering.
