Alcazar De Oviedo Apart Hotel

We stayed in the Deluxe One bedroom apartment for 7 nights in August and we loved it. We were on the 11th floor and had views to die for. Our apartment was quiet and there was no traffic or street noise. The apartment had everything you could need - there was a fully equipped kitchen as well as a washer and dryer - this was a big perk for us as we were in the second week of our trip so had a lot of washing! We had a sofa with chairs and a big dining table. The best bit was the two bathrooms which meant we had one each and could get ready in double time! We didn’t originally have a hair dryer and our iron leaked but when we mentioned it (more like language barrier charades!) to the lovely cleaning staff they had sorted both within 2 minutes. You could request the room cleaned and new towels whenever you wanted and the staff did an amazing job. Breakfast is minimal but is included in the room price so we often had some coffee and a snack and then went out for a second breakfast! There were not usually any vegetarian hot options as the eggs had meat in most days. There were pancakes but they were being made constantly so about 3 or 4 would be brought out every 10 minutes so it was like the hunger games for those things! The hotel is just out of the main Poblado tourist area but we loved the location. It was directly across the road from a big supermarket where you can stock up your fridge. There are 3 big malls all really close by which have lots of quick dining options. The walk into the main area of Poblado takes about 15 minutes and it’s down a big leafy and shaded street that has lots of coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. We walked this street around 10-11pm and always felt safe. The hotel arranged a taxi to and from the airport for us which was very useful. Staff were helpful although not everyone spoke great English. We made it work though and had a fantastic stay. I have already recommended this hotel to a friend who is visiting later in the year.

PROS: wonderful location right across from a beautiful shopping center ( Oviedo ) and walking distance from Santa Fe shopping center Cozy apartments. I absolutely recommend this hotel suites This is going to be my forever place to stay when visiting Medellin. CONS: NONE

Really nice hotel and well located near malls, restaurants and supermarket. Rooms are spacious with a living room, kitchen that has everything and a washing machine to wash and dry your clothes. Housekeeping cleanes the room everyday. All the employees are super nice. And super safe with a 24 hour security at the door. Highly recommend.
