Buddha Villa Hotel

I booked this place for my last days of vacation. For the price i paid i expected a good service but it was from the beginning bad. The lady in the hotel was unfriendly and Made us feel not welcome at all. So we coudnt really enjoy our time in the hotel. The hotel is far away from everything and you need to Rent a car or a motorcycle or take a taxi all the time. You are not allowed to use the Kitchen. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and they clean your Room everyday.

The hotel was amazing to say the least. It was in a secluded area, away from the hustle and bustle of locals trying to sell their needs. Joseph and the lady of the hotel were very attentive and welcoming. Friendly and gave us advice on certain things such as excursions, restaurants and etc. They also have a very cute dog and cat (who we named Ed) who were also great company. The salt and sweet pool were excellent and definitely a place to visit again.

We wanted to stay at this hostel due to its awesome decor and promises on the website of yoga every morning and chocolate and flowers on your bed each night. We were on our honeymoon, so the attention to detail promised there seemed perfect for us! We arranged an airport pick up with the administrator, but they never showed up even though we had confirmed it a couple hours before. Then when we arrived after taking our own taxi, we had to wait 30-45 minutes for the administrator to check us in. After she took arrived and took our money, that was the last we ever saw of her even though she said she would help arrange tours and knew we had limited Spanish. The yoga never happened and the chocolate and flowers never did either. The grounds are super cool, clean, and have great ambiance. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony that had a great view of the ocean. AC worked great, and our room was cleaned daily. Breakfast is really good and flexible times: eggs, toast, fruit, cheese, fresh juice, and coffee. Jamie, the caretaker, was excellent and did what he could to help us with the administrator never being there. Gracias por todo Jamie! The location is very far from anything and costs 25,000 pesos one way into town. Be prepared to either eat before 6 at the nearby restaurants or pay 50,000 round trip on top of your dinner. Overall this place is relaxing and has cool decorations, but don't be fooled by the promises on the website. Also be prepared about the location!
