GHL Hotel Sunrise

The truth was very bad, the air conditioning was not good, the room was flooded smelled horrible damp, first they said they included all the drinks and then two days into the trip that no longer, the food was normal but the very regular desserts felt old like breads

Good night, everybody! We arrived on 05/02/2026 from San Andres. My wife and I stayed for 15 days at GHL SUNRISE. I was concerned after so many negative comments that I read in the reviews. But I always wanted to meet San Andres and stay in that hotel, because the pool is over the sea. If it was really like the comments I would be lazy, my wife would not forgive me, after all would be 15 long days. I will tell you the truth about my experience at GHL: already on arrival at 9:00hs in the morning, my wife entered first and went to the reception, when I arrived she already came all happy, love the receptionist told me to stay calm q he will leave us well installed, at this moment everything changed q I was worried until then. I got to the attendant “ ENDER “ surprised me the calm in trying to understand what we needed, due to the language, I am bad with other languages. I've been talking about the frigobar and he said we'd have in the room, yes. Location of the room, he said to rest assured, q would be as we asked, walking high and facing the pool. We left our bags and went to stroll around once the hotel is 1000 in location, all nearby. We had lunch, pulled money, took a little walk and at 15:00hs we returned to the hotel. Arriving in the room another surprise, frigorifer new, 2 double beds, room spacious and well refrigerated. When I arrived on the balcony, q beautiful view. There my wife hugged me and thanked for Moments q we would have calm and comfortable q we would have for sure. The night at the time of bathing, another surprise, very hot water, my wife would not mind if she did not warm up, at home she takes a bath in cold water, I qto warmer better. Q wonder 15 days with hot water in the shower. So the certainty I have today is impossible to please everyone. Even at Copacabana Palace in RJ, I've seen people complain. People, few are born in a splendid cradle, so if you take everything to the foot of the letter? Do not leave the house, only there you will have everything as you like and expect. All inclusive, does not compensate qdo vc is well located, so vc is not hostage of the hotel menu. For lunch, dinner and drink every day at the hotel, once q vc is close to numerous options of restaurants, snack bars, bakeries etc. Sorry for the huge text, but I got so tense after so many nasty comments q I feel obligated to alert others q have the dream of meeting San Andres. And be well protected, located, hosted. The pool is all good. The private beach is sensational. There's a boat ride, jet all day there at about 2, 3 meters from VC. To not be disappointed is just not to get all inclusive, so you take the beer you like, the drink you like, the food you want. The breakfast is perfect, many varieties, so much you already save with lunch, don't have to take a nice coffee and lunch a few hours later. If you don't like their breakfast, you just get out of the hotel and next door there are several bakeries, with outside table, very cozy and various options. Lunch if you do not like the hotel, there is a restaurant practically in front of the hotel, just cross the street and walk about 50 m. Here is my thanks to the receptionist “ ENDER “ q was responsible for our welcoming. My friend, VC is simply exceptional, knows how to serve and leave the guest quiet and comfortable. The staff was nice but the hotel is simply falling apart. Part of celling is collapsed in many places. there is cracks, sone 3/4 inch wide in the structure of the stairs. I was afraid for my safety. Like many buildings in San Andrés it is just poorly maintained when not abandoned.
