This place should charge half as much for what it offers. Location's great for the center of town and convenient to several landmarks, and the old house it occupies is beautiful and nicely appointed, but it's very noisy and poorly maintained. We couldn't use the fan in our room (109) because the switch wasn't working but worse was the fact that the toilet wouldn't flush. The mattress was old and saggy and, worst of all was the noise.ours was an interior room set back from the street but even so the noise of traffic was enough to wake us at 8 am on a Sunday morning. Nights are quieter as they close the street due to a police station next door but the management does nothing to reduce noise and we were woken by staff conversation at 7:30am, which could be heard in the room and all over the hotel. There was also what sounded like glass bottles being shaken in a metal trash can. Conclusion: last time we'll stay here!
