Villa Fortuna Hotel

Even after making a very last minute booking, Errol (the head of the property) did everything he could to make sure I felt completely taken care of. Not only is he super friendly and absolutely focused on making sure every part of your stay is exactly what you need, he is also incredibly responsive to questions on WhatsApp whenever you might have them. The rooms are very simple (a couple of beds, some storage, a fridge, etc.), but they're all very well taken care of, and very "Fortuna". This is not "just another hotel" with the same furnishings and soulless decorations, this is the quintessential space to relax and feel like you're *IN* Costa Rica. And being less than a 10 minute walk from downtown Fortuna is even better.

The room and bathroom were fairly basic but were clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a patio area just outside and good to be able to park hire car easily. The best bit of this hotel was the pool, which our son loved. There was also a kitchen you could use but we didn't, there was a fridge in the room which was helpful. The location is about a 15 minute walk from the centre of La Fortuna which was fine for us.

It is a normal hotel with comfortable rooms, the pool is very good and the customer service is great. A good location very close to the center of La Fortuna and the prices go according to the offered.
