Volcano Lodge & Gardens

We spent a great week here at Volcano Lodge. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly and really helpful. We loved the swimming and thermal pools, the volcano views and the relaxed atmosphere. We also appreciated how the set up of the hotel and the staff made everything easy for all the family. The breakfast buffet offered a good choice and catered to different tastes, and lunch/dinner options were varied - the food was delicious. It was easy to arrange activities via reception and to access La Fortuna via taxi. We would definitely stay again!

Everything is excellent, it is one of the best places I have been.

This was our second stay at Volcano hotel.We stayed her 10 years ago and the rooms look the same. They have added other amenities. The check in was easy and quick. There is a shuttle van that carries you and your luggage to your room. The beds are very uncomfortable , super firm, even for a 17 year old who can sleep anywhere. We stayed in a junior suite which had plenty of room for our family for 3 days. It had a private thermal springs plunge pool. Breakfast each day had a good assortment of protein and carbs, including an omelet station. The resort grounds are gorgeous. One of prettiest resorts I've stayed at. There are 2 thermal fed pools and 1 regular pool. They are sloths in the trees and lots of birds. You have a perfect view of Volcano Arenal. If you are looking for updated rooms and high end 5 star luxury this isn't it. If you want a clean stay in a friendly and beautiful environment this is the place.
