Fiesta Resort All Inclusive

Guests & Entertainment: A large majority of the guests were locals, and most activities and entertainment were conducted entirely in Spanish. While I never felt unwelcome—the staff and other guests were friendly and kind—it made it difficult to participate in many of the scheduled activities if you don’t speak Spanish. Food – 9/10: The food was one of the highlights of our stay. The nightly buffet featured a different theme each evening, and everything we tried was very good. My favorite was the Asian-themed night. Drinks – 5/10: The cocktails tasted good, but the alcohol seemed very diluted, so they weren’t particularly strong. Location – 0/10: The location was the biggest disappointment. The beach directly at the resort wasn’t suitable for swimming or relaxing, and the nearest swimmable beaches were about an hour away. There also wasn’t anything within walking distance, such as shops, restaurants, or a downtown area. If you don’t speak Spanish and aren’t planning excursions, there isn’t much to do besides spending time in the pool. Resort Excursion – 0/10: We booked the aerial tram excursion through the resort for $450 for two people. Transportation was provided in someone’s personal vehicle rather than a tour van, which felt unprofessional for the price. The excursion also included a brief drive through Jacó and a stop at the crocodile bridge viewpoint, both of which are free attractions. Overall, we didn’t feel the experience justified the cost. The rooms were also outdated and you can expect creepy crawly bugs in your room.

I will rate this resort 3. Nice layout but improvements are needed. The main restaurant needs more management. Several occasions I saw flies on the food, meat etc. There are lack of hotel personnel at varies food station thus people are cross contaminating the food when helping them selves. I sense the restaurant is not swept at the end of the day because being first at breakfast you will see food crumbs on the floor etc. The labels on the food in not accurate all the time, because a dish with beans and meat are labelled beans. You got to be careful. The premium rooms need a face lift- painting and cleaner corridors. The pools are spread out, nice depth and drinks are well mixed. Excellent facility for relaxation. The beach is not really for bathing. Staff are generally courteous.
