Cala Lodge

Functional lodge. Beds, seating, bathroom, all fine, but no luxury. The rooms are very noisy. But that's not what you come here for. You come here for nature. And that's great! They have their own wildlife trail around the park. And here we have seen so many animals in less than an hour! Beautiful birds, koatis, agoutis, hummingbirds etc. From here you can be in one of the national parks. The service is good. Breakfast is also fine. From their private terrace you have a great view.

Booked a junior suite because the website mentioned they all had a terras and great view, but our didnt have a terras and a view on the parking lot. Talked to the receptionist and decided to downgrade to a standard room which is smaller, but does have a terrrace. Never got a refund for the smaller room though. Otherwise a great hotel with very friendly staff and a really nice location

Cala Lodge is set in a beautiful setting surrounded by lush forest full of birdlife, with a deck overlooking a garden that regularly attracts hummingbirds. The rooms are not large or luxurious, but are clean, well maintained and functional. The main lodge area is very appealing, with a delicious breakfast and afternoon coffee available daily. In addition to the setting, another strength is the staff, who were uniformly pleasant, friendly and informative about activities in the surrounding area. The hotel is also a short walk to many excellent restaurants and a food market. If I were to return to the area I would definitely stay there again.
