Lodge Margouillat

Beautiful estate than that of Thomas the host. Very friendly and attentive, he knew how to introduce us to his magnificent estate. It was good advice for activities and sights to visit nearby. The rooms are comfortable, and in very good condition. The terrace with the forest view is really nice. The lodges are well equipped, everything is there until the laundry rack on the terrace The wifi is present on the whole estate. The site is very clean and maintained every day. The breakfast is hearty and the fruit is fresh.

A beautiful place, lodges that allow everyone to live in privacy in the middle of the forest shared with monkeys, coatis. Breakfast is very hearty. Too bad the sheets are not cotton...

We stayed as part of a round trip two days at Thomas. Thomas, born in France, has created his paradise here. The approach to the lodge is via gravel tracks and at the end via a small bridge that takes some courage. In the lodge you will be rewarded with a magnificent view over a valley in front of you. There are self-catering accommodations on one side of the lodge, while pure sleeping bungalows are located in the front. Breakfast is served in a small, covered corner of the reception. Thomas also has two “pets”: an older and a younger anteater sneaking around the breakfast room. The path from the car park to the bungalows is quite steep. We had a beautiful terrace and couldn't get tired of the clinging monkeys, cute little squirrels and the anteaters. In the morning we were woken up by loudly roaring howler monkeys, as if they were sitting in the tree next door. There is a beautifully landscaped garden that is maintained daily and two pools. Thomas is a super host and there when you need him. When due to a thunderstorm the power went out at short notice and thus no water worked, they were there immediately and helped us out. The bungalows are pleasantly large, have a separate bathroom, separate toilet and refrigerator. Air conditioning is available.
