Perla Hotel Dubrovnik

The hotel is clean and nice. The staff is always helpful and friendly. It is less than 2 minutes to the beach. To the bus to the old town approx. 5 minutes. Would love to come back

I'll summarize right away: a nice little hotel, probably family-run, very well located, but it is very expensive. Admittedly, prices in Dubrovnik are unbearable. However, even taking that into account, I am not sure that the value for money at the Perla is among the best. To go into detail: - Our room at the price of €206 in early July was small, with minimal furniture (a rather small table, an uncomfortable chair, and the bed). - The bathroom was recent with a standard shower and fixtures. - Generally speaking, everything seems to have been redone recently and the overall condition is very good. - There was a small balcony with a view of some roofs and a corner of the sea, at least on the 4th floor. It was a side room. On the street side, it is more satisfactory. - Caution! The 4th floor is not served by the elevator. According to the receptionist, you have to take "a couple of steps" from the 3rd floor where the elevator goes, but in fact, it is a whole floor! - The neighborhood is charming: a pedestrian walkway to the nearby beach and then around a cape, a lively neighborhood with a seaside atmosphere, but not too noisy. - The hotel has 2 spots for 20€ in a nearby parking lot, which you should reserve. - Breakfast at the hotel restaurant can be enjoyed on the terrace. The quality is average. - The service is attentive. Perhaps not a bad choice, but compare it with other options anyway. At 150€ there would be nothing to complain about, but that is perhaps impossible in Dubrovnik.

The meal was horrendous! We were served a plate of Sloop which they said was potatoe purée and look warm. My chicken was over cooked and also look warm. Your chef/cook should look at the definition of Purée it’s definitely not sloop with lumps of potatoes and why would you put lettuce as garnish when this should have been a hot dish. And you ask for 24 euros for sloop!!!!
