Very bad no head space no views

Honestly loved this place. We booked the superior room with harbour view and it was worth every penny and more. Having our own bedroom and a large balcony with a view of the harbour city and mountains was great because once our kids were asleep after a hectic day me and my wife could relax with glass of wine and a stunning view. You do hear a bit of noise from mopeds but ones the doors and windows are closed its silent. The room was kept very clean with fresh towels too.the kitchen is well stocked and the air-conditioning was subtle enough to take the heat away but not leave you cold. The people who run it are so friendly and helpful you get the sense they enjoy seeing you happy. There is a pool with a great view and it was never really crowded There is a bathroom next to the pool which is kept spotless and pleasant smelling. There is also a little tortoises garden with around 17 tortoises in that our kids loved checking on ever day. We couldn't get a late check out sadly as new guests were coming in so they very kindly kept our cases in a secure room for us and we enjoyed a bit more pool time and theres a shower next to the pool to rinse off. Now having views as gorgeous as then comes at a price and thats the wall back. You can take all the steps which is a bit tough or walk the road way which is about 1/1.5 with a reasonable incline. Not hard. Plus you go past a great mini market on the way for a stop off. Fresh breads daily plus all sorts of frozen,chilled and ambient stock which is really handy and is you speak to the Villas owners you can even have groceries delivered to your room. Life made easy.An uber from all the restaurants/bars to the villa was cheap and you're never waiting more than a few mins if you still don't fancy the walk. Youre very close to various things like old town, the ferry pick up to Lokrum or Cavtat islands and the marina for boat trips. Again walking distance or cheap Ubers. My wife and I have always said there too much world to see to go anywhere a second time but honestly Dubrovnik and Villa Curic make a good argument to counter that thought. I could not recommend then highly enough.

Just returned from the lovely family run villa Curic, this place has many pluses and the location being one of them, in a quiet residential area away from the hustle and bustle of the old town but in walking distance of the main bars and restaurants, supermarkets and Marina and the bus stop at the end of the road takes you to the old town every 10 mins (number 6 bus) and runs until about 1am. Buy your bus tickets from the kiosk though as they work out cheaper. The old town is amazing but often busy with cruise shippers, make sure you experience it in the daytime as well as the evening as the streets come alive! The apartments are located on a hill though, so there’s a lot of steps down, so we often took the road way back but the advantages of this are the stunning views of the port and all the cruise shops that arrive daily. We arrived late so a small welcome pack with water etc would have been nice but the breakfast we had delivered to our room every morning at a time to suit you between 730-930am was a nice touch. And the option of paying extra to have your room past 10am on the day of travelling home would have made our last day much easier as we had a late flight home but we were able to store our bags and use the pool. We did celebrate our anniversary while we were there and the staff arranged for a bottle of wine, fruit basket and small local gift to be delivered with our breakfast on the morning and this started our day and was a lovely thought. Thank you to them. The rooftop pool was a god send as many hotels in Dubrovnik don’t have this although it’s small and not a lot of atmosphere we always got beds there. Personally for me, I missed a balcony or terrace, I didn’t realise when I booked that some 2 bed apartments didn’t have either and was very disappointed when we first arrived as I would have paid more for this. Having no outdoor space or bar to go and sit while we waited for our teenage kids to get ready was not the best so if we came again I wouldn’t book any apartments other than the ones with guaranteed balconies or terraces which were rooms 201/202 and 301/302 I believe so watch out for this if this is an important part of your holiday. The staff were lovely though and everything is spotlessly clean, the kitchen is well equipped so you can save abit of money at lunchtime as Dubrovnik does tend to be expensive. We eat at restaurants around the marina, Peppers and Bon appetite, Pino’s on the main strip but our favourite restaurant was Maskeron but lots of options and fabulous bars with nice wine are all around you. Lapad beach was about 10 mins walk away and some lovely spots to sunbath, jump in the sea and walk along the coast line, don’t miss a drink at Cave Bar more. We booked a private boat trip from along there also which took us to the blue caves and islands also not to be missed. We would recommend these lovely apartments and hopefully we will return one day.
