We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Valamar Argosy Hotel in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and I can honestly say that we had an absolutely brilliant time. From the moment we arrived, everything was fantastic, and we would have no hesitation in returning. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully tidy. We had specifically requested a quiet room, and the hotel did exactly that — it was lovely and peaceful. The bed and pillows were also extremely comfortable, which made for some very relaxing nights. The only small thing I could mention is that there wasn’t an iron or ironing board in the room, but honestly, that is being very picky! The hotel staff were fantastic throughout our stay. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, which really added to the experience. We booked on a half-board basis, which included both breakfast and dinner, and we were very impressed with the food. There was a fantastic selection at both meals, with plenty of choice, and everything we tried was delicious. We genuinely had no complaints at all. We also had a couple of lunches at the Olivia Grill, which were equally lovely. We had one of the pizzas that was cooked fresh in front of us, along with a Caesar salad, and I have to say that the pizza was probably one of the best pizzas I have ever had. It was absolutely delicious! The two infinity pools were another highlight. They were beautiful, with exceptional views and a truly stunning setting. What I particularly loved was the amount of sunbeds available. There was never any need to get up early or scramble for a lounger, which made the whole pool experience so much more relaxing. I also really liked the hotel’s approach to sunbed reservations. Guests weren’t able to simply leave towels on loungers all day while they were elsewhere. The pool attendants would remove towels from loungers that had been left unattended for a long period, which I found really refreshing. It meant that everyone had a fair chance of getting a sunbed and, most importantly, there was no typical holiday rush or stress over finding somewhere to sit. The Babin Kuk area itself was delightful. We had two beautiful beaches within easy walking distance of the hotel — Coral Beach and Copacabana Beach. We spent a day at Copacabana and paid for the lovely, comfortable sun loungers and parasol, which also included food as part of the voucher. It was well worth it. The sea was warm and absolutely crystal clear, and the beach itself was very clean. The sun loungers were also really well spaced out, so you didn’t feel crammed in with everyone around you. This was something my wife and I particularly appreciated, as it made the whole day feel much more comfortable and relaxing. Of course, no trip to Dubrovnik would be complete without visiting the Old Town, and it was absolutely beautiful. There is so much to see and explore, and we loved the fact that you can even refill your water bottles from the fountains around the city. We also took the cable car, which is an absolute must. The views from the top were simply stunning — incredibly picturesque and definitely something we will remember. Overall, we absolutely loved our holiday. The hotel, the food, the staff, the pools, the beaches and the beautiful surroundings all came together to make it a fantastic experience. We would highly recommend the Valamar Argosy Hotel and Dubrovnik to anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful holiday. Dubrovnik is an absolutely stunning place, and we will definitely be coming back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We have had an absolutely incredible experience from the moment we arrived. We were instantly greeted by warm and welcoming staff to check in. We couldn’t help but notice how nice and clean everything looked. The rooms are lovely and spotless. The amount of relaxing and picturesque areas there are is incredible. The pools are gorgeous and overlook the beautiful ocean and coast side. The overall atmosphere is super relaxing and tranquil. The location is very ideal as there is a bus stop about 100 yars away that takes you directly into Dubrovnik old town (which is the most amazing place). The on site food at the oliva bar/grill is second to none, lovely and fresh every time and we didnt have a bad meal there once. Special shoutout to the waiter Zlatan who took great care of us every lunch time, he was very friendly and helpful . The overall value is great. I can’t see how anyone could complain. We would absolutely come back without a shadow of a doubt!!! We love this place
