This is a great place to stop for a few nights when visiting Plitvice, only a five minute walk to the parks entrance 1, making it easy to be in the park for 7am opening. We stayed here one night while on a tour to the park and it was quiet and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a small gift shop in the lobby and you are able to purchase stamps for the post cards and mail them from the hotel. We also ate here and the food was pretty good. The lobby, restaurant, hallways and rooms were spotless. At 0700, the staff were out in their quiet shoes, dust mopping the corners of the hall way and stairs - where they had just been about 10pm the night before - amazing!

Reading the other reviews makes me think some people have reviewed the wrong place, there are no balconies and it is not one of ethno houses in Plitvice Village! Opposite House Spehar is a small hotel called Pansion Danica where you can get breakfast or an evening meal.
