We stayed this hotel for 6 days, we booked land view room, but the kind receptionist lady upgraded our room to a seaview room. Breakfest was delicious, the rooms also perfect. Very animal friendly hotel - we saw a little chivava and a doberman also in the hotel. 😀

Tastefully renovated hotel in TOP location. Highlight is breakfast, here is something for everyone. The only downer: Coffee unfortunately partly inedible. Staff is very accommodating and endeavourful and even explains ingredients of the food for allergy sufferers, for example. Quick check in! Highly recommended!

We will be staying at the hotel for two full weeks in August 2023. It had been 20 years since we last stayed here. We were pleasantly surprised by the renovation of the hotel. The room was modern and spacious, with a mini fridge, WiFi, air conditioning and a balcony. The rooms are cleaned every day by a nice cleaning lady. She is always willing to do something for you if you ask. In any case, the staff in the hotel is exceptionally friendly and hospitable. The breakfast is great! Very extensive buffet with everything you could want. Always replenished when something threatens to run out. Unfortunately, lunch and dinner are not possible in the hotel (unlike before, there is a very nice terrace on the harbor, but staff breaks in to man the kitchen and service, unfortunately). Dinner and lunch can be enjoyed at the nearby sister hotel Marina for a fee (around €25 with a 15% discount because you are staying in the Mediteran hotel), but in our opinion absolutely not recommended. Very busy, large hall, people are already queuing at the door before it is time and queues for the dishes. Horrible. Done once and never again. The privately run pizzeria Marina is highly recommended. Delicious food, reservations are recommended. The hotel is definitely recommended, beautiful location on the harbor, magnificent view from the “sea view” room. Very close to beach. Some reviews complain about the music from the harbor party in the evening, but if you close your balcony door, you hardly hear anything, air conditioning is on, great! The price of the room is a bit high for a 3-star hotel in high season. Van der Valk in the Netherlands is 4-star and cheaper. But you have to pay something if you want a nice holiday. And we had that!
