Club Karey Hotel

I liked the hotel. Quiet, deserted, the whole beach is yours! There was no hot water, but this is not critical. But the exit from the veranda goes straight to the sea. It turns out it's scary to sleep with the sound of waves. I realized that the house next to the sea is definitely not mine)) The cleaning lady came every day. Cleaned the floors and changed towels. Bed optional. I was pleased to have cable TV. There was no Internet in the hotel. The hotel is not suitable for families with children. But for people who love privacy, it’s very good. Located on the Del All spit. Nearby is a restaurant in Al Capone's house. You need to walk to the city. After five in the evening, all the staff goes home and you will be left alone. I recommend taking some food with you on your trip. This will be very useful in Cuba. And souvenirs as a gift for the locals. I would be happy to come back here again.

To begin with, I would like to have the option of 0 stars and even then I would not be happy to describe such a disaster... This place should have been closed to the public for years. When you arrive the first thing you see are the ruins of what was once the hotel! Unpainted, uncorked walls, broken windows and doors with patches of wood and cardboard, grass at knee height, everything musty, opaque and the feeling of a completely abandoned place! The hotel does not have hot water service 😵‍💫 or at least that's what they told us at reception when we asked why there was no hot water in the room! Anyway, don't waste your money on this place...

We (a family of 4) booked a package through Holasun to Varadero, Cuba during the period of December 24 - January 7, 2024. When we arrived at the hotel called Club Karey we realized that the hotel is below standard and it is infested with rats, mould every wall with bad smell. We reprted to Holasun through emsil and informed the local representatibe about our problem. They didn't even respond to our emsils. After a lot of complaint to the local representative, we were moved to another hotel after 1 week terrible stay. We got sick due to the smell and the uncomforable accommodation. Holasun is a hortible company which doesn't care about its customers and only concern is extorting as muh money as possible by putting the health of its customers at risk. Holasun is the worst tour company ever!
