Cavo Maris Beach

Our second stay here and even more impressed than our last stay. Location is great for links to protaras & Aiya Napa. The hotel is spotlessly clear, rooms are modern and beautifully decorated. Staff are really friendly and helpful. We will be back as soon as we can!

I do not recommend this hotel for families with children. The staff was very unfriendly, especially one waiter with long black hair. Every evening he came to our table without even saying hello or smiling, just asking what we wanted. At breakfast, the women working there looked like they were being forced to work. They were all unfriendly, both the younger and the older staff. It was terrible. There is only one swimming pool, and on our last day there was human feces floating in the water. The sunbeds were always occupied with towels, even though the hotel has signs saying that reserving sunbeds is not allowed. The only person I would like to praise is one restaurant manager, who was very kind and professional. Unfortunately, almost everyone else—from the reception staff to the local waiters—was unfriendly. Interestingly, all of the foreign waiters were always smiling and polite. The rooms were cleaned very well every day, so housekeeping deserves praise. However, the food was disappointing. Every day it was almost exactly the same, with very little variety. One morning there were no omelets available, and when I politely asked if they could make one, the cook replied in a very rude tone: “No, no omelet today.” That is my honest experience. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this hotel.

This was my second visit to Cavo Maris this year and I have to admit I was slightly disappointed second time round after a wonderful first experience in April. The public toilets were very smelly and the showers in there, which you use on day of departure were grubby and mouldy with no soap. The pool and pool loungers were also mucky and needed a good scrub. The floor of the pool was full of sand. I was surprised to see this after everywhere was so immaculate in April. It seems the standards had dropped over the most busy time period. However we did have a fantastic holiday as the food and majority of staff were wonderful.
