Harbour Scene Hotel

We three arrived off the coach from Nicosia/Lefkosa and made our way to the centre and down a side street to the harbour. It was very hot. We spotted the big Lamas hotel (bit too brash and expensive looking) and found the Harbour Scene hotel. We were shown the corner room for 3, large, clean, double aspect with a view of the (still being 'renovated') church of Archangel Michael and the Town (turned out to be direct view of sunset). Big LED TV, 4 glasses, fridge, hair drier, thick curtains, AC and a fan. No kettle unfortunately but the fridge was very useful! We declined breakfast at TL10 each and paid the TL200 per night for two nights in advance, no problem. The room (#7) was quiet but in the evening there seemed to be a car alarm firing off regularly! It turned out to be the renovating church's security! It went off a few times overnight and once the second night. Maybe it was the cats. The beds were made during the day and towels changed (although we were quite happy not to change them and we are not used to such service). Wifi was a bit weak for my iPhone 6s (only working by the door as hub was on the corridor )but my friend's android got a signal everywhere in the room. Sometimes it seemed to grind to a halt regardless. Overall very good value for money for where it is and the quality.

I stayed two times at this hotel, the reception speaks good english. He has good knowledge of Girne and places to visit. The rooms are clean. Highly recommended. The breakfast is also good. Not a crowded place, close to the harbour and central Girne.

My Partner and I have been to the Harbour Scene on three Holidays and hope to go again this year. We Find Sammy and his family very helpful.
