Hotel Bishops House

Hotel very well located, close to the Charles Bridge, numerous restaurants, and shops. Small supermarket nearby. Excellent starting point for visits. Very nice room, spacious, with a lovely shower room. Air conditioning (nice in case of high heat) despite being just steps away from tourist areas, the double glazing protected us from noise. Very decent breakfast, simple but with excellent bread (important for the French).

We really liked the hotel, the location was fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious with a sufficient variety. The receptionist, Guaseppe, was a warm and friendly Italian who helped us a lot; we liked him very much. Our room was large and very comfortable; we would choose it again if we come back.

Bishop's House is an amazing hotel just steps from the famous Charles Bridge. As soon as you enter, you are transported to a place of serenity. You are greeted by the front reception staff , in our case Helen and warmly welcomed to the hotel. We arrived before noon and were assigned a lovely room (T3) in the old tower. FYI this section does not have a lift, we carried our luggage up the steps. While our room was made up, we were offered light refreshments and freshly baked pastry. So delightful after multiple flights from North America. Our tower room was so spacious, clean and had an interesting alcove with prayer bench. The room itself was surprisingly quiet. The king bed very comfortable with fine linens, the bathroom attired with soft towels, a towel drying rack and nice wash amenities. The best appliance in the room was the independent whisper quiet air conditioning unit! We couldn't have managed without it as the weather was hot upon arrival at the beginning of May. The breakfast buffet was fully stocked with a coffee machine and tea zone. Add on all the hot and cold items, everyone could enjoy something. From the smoked salmon, fine breads and cream cheese to the bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables our appetites were satiated. The dining area always clean and pristine with hard working employees keeping the place spotless. The hotel's location was prime. Right off the Charles bridge for quick access in the early morning for stunning photos. At the bottom of the Palace hill with a supermarket and restaurants all around. A short walk through the park to the "Crawling Babies" (Miminka) located on Kampa Island in the Lesser Town (Malá Strana). Created by controversial Czech artist David Černý. Just wandering around the area was a delight for the avid photographer. Helen at the front desk also arranged our pick up at the airport and drop off at the train station. She suggested good quality restaurants and sites to visit. She is definitely the heart of the hotel. Many thanks!
